The article presents several works of Vincent d'Indy's promising choral compositions which focuses on chansons from the early twentieth century. The works of d'Indy's include the Printemps nouveau, L'histoire de Malbrouk and Cadet Rousselle. It concludes that d'Indy has left an important contribution to the French chansons of the early twentieth century.
