- Title
FIELD OBSERVATIONS.
- Abstract
The article presents the findings from bird observations in Florida from March to May 2012, compiled by the Field Observations Committee (FOC). A heavy thunderstorm that hit the Keys on April 21 brought many Neotropical migrant birds to the Gulf coast as far north as Cedar Key. An account of bird species sighted in the area during this period is presented, including the black-bellied whistling-duck, the graylag goose, the surf scoter, the red-breasted merganser, the scaled quail, and the magnificent frigatebird. Included in the list are the number per species, location, date found, and person who found the species.
