The article reports on the controversies being faced by the plan to control an exotic invader called light brown apple moth. It mentions that the controversy swirls over how to control the light brown apple moths. Alameda, Contra Costa, and Marin are some of the quarantined countries. The application of state plans for aerial applications of pheromones over parts of the said countries could start as early as June 2008 as stated by Kevin Hoffman.
