- Abstract
The article presents discussion of the epistolary poetry of Alfred Tennyson, analyzing their distinct characteristics from his other major styles. Thirty five later poems of the author are cited and discussed concerning their engagement with social themes and ideals. Several individual poems are also analyzed regarding their unique features and characteristics, including "To the Vicar of Shiplake," "To the Rev. F. D. Maurice," and "To Daisy."
