- Abstract
The article explores the strategic theory of conflict management derived from the application of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and conflict management systems. It reflects on the legalistic theory, saying that the strategic theory should affirm the interaction between organizational systems and strategies. It suggests that most American managers are starting to understand that the way their organizations manage conflict exhibits an impact from the organizations' strategies.
