- Abstract
A literary criticism of the play "King Lear," by William Shakespeare is presented. It examines how character Edgar used whiteness in constructing white supremacist political orders, the problems of broken familial inheritance and political instability highlighted in the play, and Edgar's reappearance in the play's final act with an application of blackface.
