- Title
Sport, Crime, And Peasants In Thirteenth Century England.
- Authors
Carter, John Marshall
- Abstract
The article presents research on crime related to sports or recreation in medieval England. The author examined the judicial records of thirteenth century England because there were records available for this time period. He also sought to perform this research because there has been more information about the historical role of elites in sport and less is known about the peasantry and lower classes.
