- Abstract
The article discusses the appeal against the conviction in the trail of a defendant who killed his uncle in the Northern Ireland. The article mentions that the defendant's plea of diminished responsibility (DR) was rejected and the article explains two issues raised by DR. The two issues based upon which the defence argued include the compatibility of section 5(3) of the Criminal Justice Act 1966 to Article 6(2) of the European Convention and mental abnormality caused by psychological injury.
