The article discusses the steampunk productions of George Bernard Shaw's play 'Pygmalion' allows to see the need to reconfigure language as dynamic. Topics include embracing a destabilizing counter-pressure as a key element for future conceptualizations of language in the digital realm; the importance of understanding data governance in the digital revolution; and creating the capacity of computing language to facilitate interoperability between devices and real-time analysis of big data.
