The article discusses a study related to rate of click chemistry reaction under catalysis by trace-amounts of copper. It mentions role of click chemistry to revolutionize several fields of synthetic chemistry which includes material science and molecular biology. It also highlights critical disadvantages from a no-catalyst approach represented through costs of heating required to improve rate of cycloaddition and loss of regioselectivity.
