- Abstract
The article examines the microbiome of patients with asthma obtained via a protected specimen brush demonstrated notable difference as compared with normal controls. It notes that Microbiota may induce carcinogenesis in different ways including microbiome dysbiosis, impairing immunity, genotoxicity, and altered metabolism. It adds that characterizing the microbiome in health and various disease states is critical to unlocking the potential to manipulate it for favorable outcome.
