- Abstract
Focusing on the theme of " construction of a high-quality teacher education system with Chinese characteristics", Professor Zhou Hongyu argues that a high-quality teacher education system with Chinese characteristics is rooted in the discourse system of teacher education, featured with openness, coordination, and linkage, and takes the strict control of quality as its core task. The construction of a high- quality teacher education system with Chinese characteristics is an active response and inevitable choice of lifting the threshold for new teachers, narrowing the quality gap of regional teaching staff, and facilitating the transformation of teachers' role and abilities in the digital era. It is such a systematic project that needs an overall and integrated plan, which can be built and evaluated from four aspects of lifting the level of teacher training system, increasing the targeted and precise training for teachers in economically backward areas, and improving a professional system of teacher education discipline and a digital teacher education system.
