- Abstract
The authors respond to a commentary on their article "Racial Disparities in Cancer Survival Among Randomized Clinical Trials of the Southwest Oncology Group." They point out the importance of concern raised regarding their method for socioeconomic status (SES) adjustment, arguing that it relates to the nature of data used in the analysis. They mention the homogeneity of the study population, the protocol-specified treatment and the disease-specific prognostic factors at diagnosis.
