An introduction to the January 1970 issue of "Law and Contemporary Problems" is presented, including a discussion on the absence of impartiality in decision-making when there is extra-judicial involvement, a debate on the roles of the legislature and the judiciary in controlling judicial behavior, and a description of the operation of an administrative agency which is controlled by the judiciary.
