- Abstract
The article presents two case studies of a surprise diagnosis of gastric adenocarcinoma by random gastric biopsies. The first case involves a 40-year-old man with asymptomatic iron-deficiency anaemia and was diagnosed with chronic atrophic gastritis. the second case involves a 64-year-old man who was found to have chronic atrophic gastritis on endoscopy. A discussion on the incidence of well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumour in the stomach is given.
