- Abstract
The article presents a case study of 46-year-old lady with type-I diabetes who was taken to the emergency department due to a sudden onset of difficulty in walking. Findings from the assessment showed an ulcer overlying the right Achilles tendon of the patient. The right superficial femoral artery underwent occlusion and was formally angioplastied and stented. In an ankle joint splint, she was then discharged home after an orthopaedic consultation.
