Process Optimization of Polyimide Fiber Condensed Blended Yarn.

- Abstract
Spinning process of combed cotton/polyimide/viscose 40/30/30 9.8 tex condensed yarn was discussed. 1.67 dtex x 51 mm polyimide fiber, 1. 33 dtex x 38 mm viscose fiber and Xinjiang medium cotton were selected. In view of large volume resistivity of polyimide fiber, which was easy to generate static electricity, the length difference of blended fiber was large. In production process of the blended yarn, to solve the difficulty of carding and yarn defects. Polyimide and viscose were used to package blending first, then the sliver was blended with medium cotton combed sliver in the drawing process. According to the blended fiber property, polyimide fiber was pretreated by ionic antistatic agent. By optimizing process parameters such as spinning speed and gauge, condensed spinning and widening top and bottom pins were adopted, polyimide fiber blended yarn was successfully spun. It is considered that although polyimide, combed medium cotton and viscose has large difference in fiber property and length, as long as appropriate technology and special spinning equipment are adopted, the yarn with unique style can be spun and meet the quality requirements.
