- Abstract
The article focuses on a study on youth's perceptions of overweight-related prevention counseling at a primary care visit. It notes that primary preventive health services could play a significant role in dealing with overweight child and adolescent. In the study, younger adolescents perceived readiness to change their nutrition behaviors recommended by their clinicians. The results indicate the need for clinicians to form more specific, evidence-based overweight prevention counseling.
