- Title
Talking openly about death.
- Authors
Nyatanga, Brian
- Abstract
The author focuses on the importance of an open discussion of death in medical care. According to the author, despite the high number of deaths outside the home, people still do not openly talk about death. He adds that honest care in terms of the treatment that can be offered will be assured through open discussions with patients about death and when death is likely to occur. He notes that an improvement in bereavement profile for relatives can result from such discussions.
