- Abstract
The article presents a study on the molecular cloning of a full-length complementary DNA (cDNA) encoding of interferon (IFN) gamma from Japanese flounder. The expression profiles of the IFN-gamma gene in healthy and viral hemorrhagic septicaemia virus (VHSV) challenged fish were determined by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Based on the results obtained from the study, the authors conclude that Japanese flounder interferon gamma may play a role in the early phase of antiviral response.
