- Title
Strategy Officers Create New Challenge for CFOs.
- Abstract
The article discusses research performed by Accenture on the topic of chief strategy officers (CSOs). The long-term focus of a CSO can sometimes conflict with the duties of a firm's chief financial officer (CFO), who may be concentrating on more immediate, day-to-day concerns. Cooperation between the two executives is essential and can be enhanced in a variety of ways. The CFO and CSO should focus on shared objectives. They should also promote meetings involving all of the firm's top executives where issues can be openly discussed.
