- Abstract
This article presents views of attorney Robert Bennett regarding what business executives expect when providing testimony to the U.S. Congress. His views are based on cases involving U.S. President Bill Clinton and companies like Enron Corp. Speaking at a forum on executive ethics at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., Bennett complained that hearings are not designed to discern the truth but are a method of publicity for legislators, who have already made their mind up regarding the issue at hand.
