- Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to roads and railways industry in Africa from August to September 2008. The official launching of the world's longest suspension bridge, stretching 27 kilometers between Djibouti and Yemen, was successful amid political controversy. Rift Valley Railways (RVR) has invested US$206 million over the next five years to reverse its loss-making streak and to improve passenger and cargo movement across Eastern African region.
