- Abstract
The article reports on the contribution of the African diaspora in France to the economic development of its home countries. It mentions that the transferred sums from France contribute massively to African economic development. The African Development Bank (ADB) released a study into 2000 households that provides figures for 2005 of €1.5 billion sent home to Morocco, €449 million to Senegal, €295 million to Mali, and €70 million to the Comoros islands. Savings banks in France intend to set up accounts for foreign workers with permits. Tax exemptions related to the accounts are also stated.
