Geranium Oil: Rwanda.
- Abstract
The article reports that the natural organic oils producers in Rwanda are positioning themselves to take advantage of the increase in prices of natural organic oils on the world market. The producers plan to raise their export volume from 100 kilograms of organic geranium oil to 500 kilograms. Each kilo of geranium sells $150 on the world market. Ikirezi Co. managing director Nicholas Hitimana projects to earn $75,000. Geranium plants produce oils utilized for the manufacture of cosmetics, fragrances and aromatherapy.
