- Abstract
According to the World Health Organization, through lifestyle changes, 80% of cardiovascular disease, 90% of type II diabetes cases and 40% of some forms of cancer could be prevented. The World Bank warned in a press release in 2011 that heart disease, obesity, cancer, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases increasingly threaten the health and economic security of many countries, including those of the Eastern Europe. These trends could be countered by promoting a healthy lifestyle, limiting smoking, imposing taxes and reducing salt intake, including the semi-cooked food. (Source: NewsIn, 20. September, 2011).
