- Abstract
The article is a bibliographic review of the book "The Emotions in the Classics of Sociology: A Study in Social Theory" written by M. Cerulo and A. Scribano. The book explores the early sociological studies on emotions carried out by prominent authors in the field of sociology, such as Harriet Martineau, Karl Marx, and Gabriel Tarde. The importance of understanding emotional expressions in order to comprehend social structuring processes and the current societal configuration is emphasized. The book analyzes the relationship between emotions and fundamental categories such as the body and exploitation, and proposes a sociology of emotions as social criticism.
