- Abstract
The article describes the case of a anti-p155/140 antibody- positive dermatomyositis in a 52-year-old woman which shows the coexistence of a transcriptional intermediary factor 1γ (TIF1γ)-overexpressing malignant neoplasm. She developed facial and palpebral oedema, erythema on the trunk, muscle weakness and intermittent fever two weeks before examination. It was found that TIF1γ expression in neoplasms not only identifies the tumour activity but also causes dermatomyositis.
