- Abstract
The article discusses a research study on the comparison of three mixed larval diets and their efficacy on the developmental characteristics of Anopheles arabienses Patton. Prepared were three diets and 5 replicates were done for the daily dish to record the larval development times starting from the first instar larvae (L1) to pupa and adult survival. Results of three diets showed good development during the An. arabiensis immature stages while pupation time were different with different diets and the survival highest at the L1 stage at 96%. Other findings include highest survival rate at 96.9% that was observed in diet 1 along with larger females that has large wing lengths.
