Abstract
The article focuses on recent ornithological observations in Switzerland, highlighting the nesting of two new bird species, the Bald Ibis (Geronticus eremita) and the Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis), which had been anticipated based on sightings. It also discusses the unique case of a mixed pairing between a White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) and a Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), resulting in hybrid offspring.
