Abstract: The Royal College of Nursing's Principles of Nursing Practice tell us what everyone can expect from nursing practice. They apply to all nursing staff, including healthcare assistants (HCAs) and assistant practitioners (APs). Using the principles to think about your own practice is a simple and effective way of making sure you are living up to these expectations. In this article, reflection on practice using the principles in this way is explored
