- Abstract
The article "Germany in the global economic war" deals with the worldwide economic and political developments in the 21st century. It points out that a new global division has emerged between the "West" (G7, NATO, EU) and the "East/South" (BRICS, Shanghai Group). The article emphasizes China's rise as a leading trading power and Germany's economic stagnation. Germany's energy and resource security is identified as a key problem for the country's growth. The COVID-19 pandemic led to extensive production shutdowns and a collapse in world trade. The future of Germany will be reflected in the results of the upcoming elections.
