- Abstract
The article focuses on the feed-in tariff (FIT) mechanism and its deployment to expand solar energy production in the U.S. It provides an overview of the background of FIT technologies and public policy initiatives and the implications of FIT's specific design for the development of the solar energy projects. It examines the role of FITs in adding more solar generation capacity, setting electric rates under federal laws, and encouraging growth in solar generation production.
