- Abstract
We read with great interest the recent case report by Zivcovi'c et al. [[1]] reporting a suicide death by exsanguination from a puncture wound to an arteriovenous fistula using a Swiss knife. The initial impression was that this man died from exsanguination from the puncture wounds to the arteriovenous fistula, but how these puncture wounds were inflicted was unclear. This case presents a death from exsanguination from an iatrogenic puncture wound to the arteriovenous fistula and also documented the dissection process to identify the source of hemorrhage.
