- Abstract
The article focuses on political presentation of black women in sports in early twentieth century, referring to the careers of athletes Toni Stone, Connie Morgan, and Mamie “Peanut" Johnson. It discusses the scenario when these African American athelete were turned away from the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) and played baseball for the Negro Leagues.
