- Abstract
The article presents an abstract of the study "Identification of Expression of the Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor Type 1 and of the Associated Homer/Vesl Proteins in a Mammalian Skeletal Muscle." The glutamate receptors promote fast excitatory neurotransmission and regulate neuronal plasticity. They are expressed throughout the central nervous system of vertebrates. The result suggests that the receptor mGluR1 and Homer/Vesl proteins are expressed in mammalian skeletal muscle.
