- Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the realization level of the information function of the human resources management on the basis of school administrators views. This study is qualitative study. Twelve school administrators from three primary schools and three general high schools in Ankara participated in this study. The schools were purposefully selected and purposeful sampling strategy was used to select participants in the schools. The schools were visited for interview process in order to take school managers' views. Individual interviews were used as the main data collection method. For this reason firstly, school managers were informed by telephone about research by the researcher. After one week, managers were visited for interviews. A typical interview ran about 40 minutes, and interviews were tape recorded. Each recorded interview was later verbatim transcribed by the researcher. An interview form which was developed by the researcher included three themes and 10 semi structured questions. The questions were about informing process of human resources management on educational organizations. Thematic content analysis technique was used to analyze the interview data. According to the findings of the study, there are some problems related information activities, relationships between school and labor unions, informing tools and techniques, measurement and evaluation of informing process and support of top management. Data also show that teachers do not have informing habit and informing process does not work for organizational objectives. Also managers do not have enough experience for carry out informing process.
