- Title
Two Toxicologic Emergencies.
- Abstract
The article describes two case reports of toxicologic emergencies. The first patient is a 39-year-old man who presented with body aches, abdominal pain, chills, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. The second patient is a 45-year-old man with a history of HIV who inhaled canisters of video cassette recorder (VCR) head cleaner. Further diagnosis revealed that the first patient exhibited classic signs of buprenorphine-induced opioid withdrawal, while the second case was an indication of ethyl chloride neurotoxicity.
