- Abstract
In this paper the research training in education is discussed in the context of the production of knowledge in this field. From an interpretive perspective, it is proposed a reflection on academic practice for research training of graduate programs in education. The topics that are reviewed in detail are: the relationship between professor/tutor and student, the stage of research where students work, and the joint construction of meaning that takes place between the professor/tutor and the student in relation with the writing process of a grade thesis in education. A central assumption of this paper is that research training is done in the context of the work of research collaboration between the two actors in question and that, within this cooperation, it is fundamental academic and emotional support from tutor to student. It is also argued that in this kind of relationship intense dynamics of mutual learning come into play, by which student's training is achieved and tutor training skills are strengthen.
