- Abstract
The article focuses on the participation of private loan originator in a public mortgage program. The pool of available borrowers eligible to participate in the Mortgage Revenue Bond (MRB) program, indirectly affected the degree of a loan originator's participation in the program. MRB programs provides reduced interest rate mortgage financing for first-time. The MRB program has assisted more than 3.6 million lower income households per year in the U.S., which makes it one of the largest publicly subsidized low-income homeownership initiatives.
