The article focuses on apple diversity through genetics, agriculture and food in three communities from different countries including Japan, Sweden, Kazakhstan, New Zealand and Chile. These communities include the scientific, small farm and commercial grower. People who grow and live closely with apples will have novel ways of incorporating them into their daily meals.
