- Abstract
The article discusses depictions of love in modern French-language literature from the Antilles, especially Guadeloupe and Martinique. Conceptions of love in Creole and other non-white cultures are are discussed as they appear in Antillean literature by authors such as Maryse Condé, Frantz Fanon, Raphaël Confiant, Ernest Pépin, and others.
