- Abstract
The article presents evidence regarding the association between exogenous progesterone and the prevention of early pregnancy loss. Early pregnancy loss affects pregnancies and can lead to medical or surgical morbidity, as well as posttraumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety. The two groups which are the focus of studies assessing the role of progesterone in preventing miscarriage are threatened miscarriage and recurrent pregnancy loss.
