The article focuses on the U.S. Naturalization Act of 1790 with the legitimacy of originalism as a constitutional theory. Topics discussed include modern norms of gender equality into their analysis and produce an interpretation, citizenship without recognizing the importance of gender and rules of statutory construction of constitution.
