Abstract
This paper cites the findings of a 1998 survey of 29 private economists by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia regarding the U.S. economy. The survey found them forecasting a 2.5 percent annual inflation for the next 10 years. They also forecast inflation-adjusted growth in the economy to be 3.2 percent for 1998 and 2.4 percent for 1999.
