The article explores the author's views on the fruit that caused the Fall of Man. Traditional writings have pointed to apple as Eve's fruit. According to the author, this tradition is European and it started when the Bible was translated into Latin. Hebrew sources simply describe the fruit as a fleshy fruit. The author shared that if the fruit was not an apple, one general conclusion was the pomegranate which originated in Persia and native to Palestine. Other candidate fruits cited by the author are fig fruit, peach, and apricots.
