- Abstract
The article focuses on the substantial progress during the rearing of the European cherry fruit fly. Rearing of cherry fruit fly includes an adequate oviposition device and a suitable larval diet. However, there was a lack of reproducible rearing method in the past. Further, it offers information on new and environmentally sound control strategies of the pest, which relies on the knowledge ascertained from basic research.
