- Abstract
An environmentally friendly and cost-effective two-stage catalytic method is developed for the synthesis of unsaturated esters. Naphthenic acids are prerared by catalytic oxidation of a narrow diesel fraction isolated from Balakhan oil on cobalt-containing multiwalled carbon nanotubes mixed with manganese naphthenate. Unsaturated esters are synthesized by subsequent reaction with unsaturated alcohols in the presence of the ionic liquid N-methylpyrrolidone hydrosulfate as an esterification catalyst. The prepared esters are shown to be effective corrosion inhibitors.
