- Abstract
Linear IgA bullous dermatosis is a rare autoimmune disease, characterized by the linear deposition of immunoglobulin A along the basement membrane and by the possible presence of serum Ig A auto-antibodies. The peculiarity of this pathology is given by the variable clinical aspect and by the resemblance with various dermatological pathologies such as dermatitis herpetiformis, bullous lupus erythematosus, bullous pemphigoid. A certain diagnosis is given by direct immunofluorescence that detects a linear pattern at basal membrane level. We report a case of linear IgA bullous dermatosis atypical in matter of clinical appearance and etiopathogenesis , with prompt response to dapsone treatment and favourable evolution.
