- Abstract
Aiming at the characteristics of the four-wheel independent drive electric vehicle driving mode, this paper established the dynamic model and the power assisted motor model of the electric power steering (EPS), and introduced two control variables of steering wheel torque and driving speed to determine the best auxiliary steering current,. The steering assist characteristic curve of EPS system was obtained and analyzed. The controller of the EPS system was designed based on the fuzzy control method, and joint simulation of MATLAB/ Simulink and Carsim was performed on the constructed EPS system under the experimental conditions of setting the steering lightness, returning positive and the like in accordance with the requirements of the national standard. Simulation results show that the resulting control dynamical characteristics curve has reached the expected goal, and has the good power effect, which improves the road feeling in steering and the operation of the electric car sensitivity and steering stability.
